Shapely Curves in the Outdoors
It’s got to fit right! For years women suffered the ill fitting design of men’s outdoor clothing when hiking, paddling or playing in the outdoors. The ‘unisex’ design of outdoor clothing was really a modified men’s style and that didn’t fit right for many women. Men don’t have the same shapely curves as women. Women’s hips don’t fit into men’s pants.

Be Whale Wise
Ocean River Adventures staff know that seeing marine wildlife in their natural environment can be a thrilling experience. They also know paddlers, in their excitement sometimes forget that our presence has an effect on wildlife and their habitat. When paddlers get too close, approach too fast, or make too much noise we may be causing the animal's unnecessary stress, sometimes even threatening their lives or even that of your own.
Fishing from a Kayak
I had never been in (on?) a kayak in my life, although my son has been whitewater kayaking for years. My usual comment was along the lines of "I have no intention of being upside down in water with a boat on top." Early this summer I read that kayak fishing has become immensely popular in the US. I picked up an excellent book on the topic (Kayak Fishing - The Ultimate Guide: Heliconia Press, Beachburg, Ontario www.helipress.com) and became intrigued.
