Boats on the Colquitz River

I am writing you from the Colquitz River, which meanders down from Elk and Beaver lakes and flows into Portage Inlet, just under the new Admiral’s Street bridge. This tiny tidal waterway has been traveled frequently by paddlers this past summer and fall, and although we want to share every bit of this beautiful area with you, we ask that you do not enter the river now.
